Do You Support the Reform of the Nichiren Buddhist Debate?

If you have found the arguments made in the essay The Illness within Nichiren Buddhism compelling, or if you simply support the proposals on the main page because you think they are right, please add your name to the list of "People Supporting the Propositions."

To be added to the list, send an email including your name and the school of Buddhism with which you practice (or "Non-Buddhist Exploring Nichiren Buddhism," Independent Hokke, or Independent Nichiren Buddhist), including some method by which I can contact you to verify your identity, to stop-slander-now@millerthought.com.

Please note: your contact information will not be shared with anyone.  I may verify your identity by communicating with you, and, in circumstances that I feel uncertain, may ask for further information to confirm your identity; this information will also be considered 100% private.  Further, those who blatantly and callously continue to abuse the spirit of the propositions in the opinion of the author of this essay will not be added to the list: I do not want to arm anyone's adversaries with the possible ammunition of calling such persons hypocritical, nor do I wish to degrade the impact of these propositions in a way that I would consider hypocritical.

Supporters can further contribute to these propositions by occasionally providing a link to this page in any Nichiren Buddhist forum where the rhetoric becomes unarguably contrary to the spirit of these propositions (I wouldn't suggest posting it everytime someone gets a little heated in a normally respectful forum, however). The recommended appearance is, either at the end of a message or the body of the message:

This will work in most email readers.  In some web-based forums, you may have to explicitly create a link; in that case make the URL (location) above the link, and make "Civilize the Nichiren Buddhist Debate" the text.  Of course, this is just my suggestion; you can implement it as you please.
